Arrive Udaipur

  • Meeting & assistance on arrival at Udaipur Airport & transfer to the hotel in a vintage coupe.
  • On arrival check in at Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur (Luxury Lake View Room). The Vintage coupé glides to a stop at the lake’s edge. It’s hard to believe the floating vision in marble is real. Udaipur

  • After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Udaipur.
  • Still very much a traditional Rajput town, Udaipur was founded by Maharana Udai Singh, in 1567. Your city sightseeing tour will take you to see Sahelion-ke-Bari, also known as the “Garden of the Maids of Honour”.
  • You will drive around the Fateh Sagar Lake. The City Palace, poised over Lake Pichola, houses the museum.
  • You will also see the Jagdish Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Additionally, you will visit Gulab Niwas Gardens and the Folk Museum. In the evening enjoy a boat ride on the picturesque Lake Pichola (on your own).

Udaipur - Ranakpur - Jodhpur (approx 6 hour drive)

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel & transfer to Jodhpur.
  • En-route stop to visit the world famous exquisitely carved Ranakpur Jain Temples, known for the 1444 pillar hall. Late evening arrive Jodhpur & check in at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur (Historical Suite).
  • Perched high above the desert capital of Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace is the last of the great palaces of India and one of the largest private residences in the world - set amidst 26 acres of lush gardens.
  • Named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, grandfather of the present Maharaja of Jodhpur, this golden - yellow sandstone monument was conceived on the grandest possible scale, in the fashionable Art Deco Style of that time.
  • After 15 years in construction, the 347 - room palace was finally completed in 1943 - and has served as the principal residence of the Jodhpur royal family since.

Jodhpur

  • After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Jodhpur.
  • Rao Jodhaji built the city of Jodhpur on a rocky range of sandstone hills in 1458. A wall, 10 kilometers long, 2.7 meters thick, ranging from 4 to 9 meters in height, surrounds the city.
  • The wall has 7 gates, flanked by bastions and fixed with pointed iron spikes. The outstanding feature of Jodhpur is its Fortress Castle (called Mehrangarh Fort), situated on an isolated rocky eminence 122 meters above the city.
  • The Fort dominates the surrounding plain. There are royal palaces where old weapons and armoury are displayed.
  • Continue to Jaswant Thada, a marble pillared memorial (cenotaph), built in 1899.

Jodhpur - Jaipur (approx 6 hour drive)

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel & transfer to Jaipur. On arrival check in at Rambagh Palace, Jaipur (Historical Suite). Walk from room to room amongst rich textures, opulent furnishings and exquisite objects d’art.

Request the legendary Peacock suite, which overlooks the Mughal Terrace and the garden where the Maharaja used to celebrate "Holi," the festival of color and lights. Stage an evening of high romance in a private tent, illuminated only by torchlight. Indulge in a stately dining at the gilded Suvarna Mahal, formerly the palace ballroom.
  • Enjoy a royal, feast and lounging under a star-speckled sky. Play Polo as the kings played it, or at a more leisurely pace on elephant back. Wind up the day’s activities in the sophisticated charm of the legendary Polo Bar.

Jaipur

  • Morning after breakfast, proceed for excursion to Amber fort. Here you will enjoy a short elephant ride up the hill to Amber Fort. Amber - 12 kilometres from Jaipur is the deserted city of Amber and the Amber Fort.
  • It was once the ancient capital of the Rajput Empire. From the road you can climb up to the Fort in approximately 10 minutes, but it is also possible to ride up on elephant back.
  • In addition, there is a small Kali Temple on the premises. Afternoon proceed for Jaipur city tour. Well known as the Pink City of India, Jaipur is the state capital and largest city of Rajasthan. Most of the structures in the old walled city are built with pink sandstone, giving the city its name.
  • You will visit the City Palace which houses a museum containing rare manuscripts, paintings and an armoury. Then, proceed on to the Jantar Mantar Observatory, built in the 17th century by Jai Singh, a famous astronomer. The observatory has a 90-foot-high sundial. The Central Museum, founded in 1876, has a large collection of antiques.
  • You will drive past the Hawa Mahal, also known as the “Palace of Winds”. Hawa Mahal, built in a unique design, is the landmark of Jaipur, and was used by the ladies of the court to watch the daily goings-on in the street below.
  • Return back to hotel. Overnight stay at Rambagh Palace, Jaipur.
